Terms & Conditions

These Terms apply to all services and goods we supply.

1. Quotations

Quotations are valid for 30 days unless otherwise stated. They are based on the information available at the time. If additional work is required, we will discuss and agree any extra costs with you before proceeding.

2. Payment

Payment is due on completion of the work unless we have agreed different terms in writing. We accept bank transfer and card payments. Title to all materials and equipment remains with Viking Heat Ltd until full payment is received.

3. Deposits

We may request a deposit before ordering materials or starting larger jobs (including new boiler installations). Subject to your right to cancel (see section 7), deposits for special-order or non-returnable items are non-refundable once ordered.

4. Access to the property

You must provide safe and reasonable access to the property and work area. If we are unable to gain access at the agreed time, a missed appointment charge may apply.

5. Gas Safety

All gas work is carried out by Gas Safe registered engineers (Registration 984460). If we find an appliance or installation that is unsafe, we will make it safe in accordance with current regulations. The attending engineer’s safety decision is final.

6. Guarantees

• Manufacturer warranties on boilers, parts and equipment are provided by the manufacturer.
• We provide a 12-month workmanship guarantee on the installation work we carry out.
• This guarantee does not cover manufacturing defects, misuse, lack of servicing, existing system issues, third-party interference, or problems caused by water quality or external factors.

7. Cancellations and your right to cancel

If you agree a contract with us away from our business premises (for example at your home, by phone, by email, by WhatsApp or online), you have the right to cancel it within 14 days without giving any reason. The 14 days start from the day after the contract is agreed.

To cancel, just tell us clearly that you wish to cancel, by email to support@vikingheat.co.uk, by WhatsApp or phone on 0191 743 4141, or by post to Viking Heat Ltd, 20 Cragleas, Hobson, Newcastle upon Tyne, NE16 6EH. You can use the model cancellation form at the bottom of this page, but you do not have to.

If you cancel within the 14 days, we will refund all payments you have made, including any deposit, within 14 days of you telling us, using the same payment method you used.

If you ask us to start work before the 14 days are up and then cancel, you will need to pay for the work carried out up to the point you tell us, and for any items made or ordered specifically to your requirements. If you ask us to carry out urgent repairs or maintenance, the right to cancel does not apply to that work once it has been carried out.

After the 14-day period, please give us as much notice as possible if you need to cancel. We may charge for costs already incurred (for example materials that have been ordered).

8. Liability

Nothing in these Terms limits our liability for death or personal injury caused by our negligence. Subject to that, our total liability is limited to the value of the work carried out. We are not liable for indirect losses such as alternative heating costs or loss of earnings.

9. Damp and Mould Work

Where we carry out any damp or mould related work, it will only be undertaken by suitably qualified and competent persons. We do not claim to be damp or mould specialists unless specifically stated. Any such work is subject to survey and separate quotation.

10. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales.

If you want to cancel under section 7, you can copy this form into an email or WhatsApp, or print it and post it to us. You don’t have to use it. Any clear message saying you want to cancel is fine.
